Frequently Asked Questions

Q?
Is the E100 Challenge just another plan on how to read the Bible?
A.
The E100 Challenge is a Bible reading guide. A Bible reading guide is not a plan. The E100 Challenge helps you understand what you’re reading and how the passages systematically fit together. The E100 approach enables you to grasp the big picture without getting bogged down or frustrated.
Q?
What else do you offer?
A.
Scripture Union Canada is committed to helping you connect with God’s Word. We offer Bible reading guides for all ages - children, teens and adults. We’re also planning to introduce new E100 resources for children and adults. Check out our online bookstore!
Q?
Is the E100 Challenge suitable for new Christians?
A.
The E100 Challenge is simple, flexible, achievable and suitable for everyone. New Christians, youth, pastors, retirees, waitresses, parents, Catholics, teachers, CEO’s, Protestants . . . you name them, we’ve heard from them . . . and they’ve all told us that they’ve benefitted from taking the E100 Challenge.
Q?
I’ve seen the E100 Challenge elsewhere. Do I have to get it in Canada?
A.
The Canadian edition of the E100 Challenge has been designed for Canadians. But if you want to get it elsewhere, go ahead. We’re more interested in encouraging you to take the Challenge and helping you develop a Bible reading habit.
Q?
Is the E100 Challenge another marketing ploy to sell more Bibles?
A.
The E100 is not about selling Bibles or even suggesting translation preferences. In fact, we do neither. We simply provide the tools and resources to assist you in taking a Bible reading program that will have a profound impact on your life.
Q?
What will the E100 Challenge cost?
A.
The E100 is a relatively inexpensive tool that costs about $20 or a little more depending on the resources you choose to buy.
Q?
How long does it take to do the E100 Challenge?
A.
It all depends on you. The flexible nature of the Challenge leaves you free to go hard core and do a reading a day over 100 days, do one section per week over twenty weeks, divide it into four quarterly mini-challenges over the course of the year, or do it whenever or however you can manage it.
Q?
What will I gain from doing the E100 Challenge?
A.
You’ll gain a better understanding of God’s Story and how your story is part of God’s Story. Our research shows that once an individual completes the E100 Challenge his or her appetite for connecting with the Bible results in the formation of a sustainable Bible reading habit.
